Yon Tumarkin (Hebrew: יון תומרקין; born 22 July 1989) is an Israeli male actor and singer, best known for playing Leo in the TV series Split.[1]
Early life
Tumarkin was born and raised in Jaffa, Israel, to a family of Jewish descent.
He is the youngest son of Naama Tumarkin and artist Yigal Tumarkin. [2] His paternal grandfather was German actor Martin Hellberg, whose father was a pastor.[3] When he was 13, his parents were divorced and he and his mother moved to Tel Aviv.[4] There he went to the high school Tichon Ironi Alef and got the diploma of Art.[5] On August 18, 2008, he took a break from the army for his television work.[6] In 2011, Yon Tumarkin finished his work in the Israeli army.[7]
Career
By the age of eight, Tumarkin was discovered by casting director Yael Aviv when sitting in a cafe with his father.
