          WHAS-TV anchor Melissa Swan retiring

          Melissa Swan, described by her employer as a quintessential member of the WHAS-11 television family since 1985, has announced that she is retiring.

          The longtime news anchor is "one of Kentuckiana’s most trusted journalists and beloved television personalities," WHAS said in disclosing Swan's plan to retire after 30-plus years at the station.

          She started as a general assignment reporter and most recently, she’s been co-anchoring WHAS-11 News at 5 p.m.
